SANTA YNEZ VALLEY
We welcome you to our delightful Santa Ynez Valley, home to more than 80 wineries and tasting rooms, an excellent selection of outstanding restaurants, and a wide variety of shops in the quaint towns in our area. Downtown Los Olivos, your best location for wine tasting and one of our favorite restaurants, Nella’s Kitchen, is 4 miles away. Santa Ynez, the heart of historic horseback country with 5-star dining at SY Kitchen, delicious Mexican food at Dos Carlitos, as well as great coffee and pastries at the Baker’s Table, delicious sandwiches and charcuterie platters from the Lucky Hen Larder, and Western shops, is also 4 miles away. Los Alamos, 15 miles from us up Highway 101, boasts great antiquing as well as fine dining at Pico and Bell’s, great pizza at Full of Life Flatbread, and the most delicious bakery in the region: Bob’s Well Bread. Bob has opened a second location in Ballard as well! Buellton is not famous only for the Hitching Post (from the movie Sideways), it also hosts one of our favorite spots: Industrial Eats. Downtown Solvang is a quaint Dutch village complete with windmills and thatched roofs. Home to many shops and restaurants, Solvang’s Visitor Center in the heart of town is a wonderful resource for the area attractions. If you have a penchant for pancakes, show up early to beat the crowds at Paula’s on Mission/Highway 246! One COVID restrictions are lifted, we look forward to the return of our Solvang Festival Theatre which rivals companies across the country, but don’t forget to take a blanket with you to keep warm during evening performances. The hills and back roads of the Valley offer great appeal to cyclists. If you came equipped for hiking or biking, our area is filled with beautiful vistas!
